I had a layover in the Pearl of the Orient on my way to Australia so I made the most of what time I had there. I landed at 3am, so had to hustle to make it to Victoria Peak for sunrise & one way or another, I made it. What a morning to remember. The sun came through with perfect cloud formations & I was the only one up there, best seat in the house! From up that high, you can see the metropolis in all its glory. I made my way down via cable car into the rush of the city streets. Quarry Bay, the financial district & the harbour were my next points of interest. With time running out, I enjoyed a local dish of sweet & sour pork before making my way to Montane Mansion, to watch night fall on the residents of this remarkable building.
