This trip was quite the epic journey. Myself and Mike took off from London in February 2018 & flew north to Narvik, a town where Norway brushes the Arctic Circle. In collaboration with rental car company Sixt & our accommodating cottages of Solsiden Brygge in Ballstad, we had an absolute blast wrapped up inside this remarkable environment. One thing that we underestimated when first arriving were the huge distances; Narvik to our accommodation alone took us five hours to drive, but what a drive it was! One main road connects the archipelago together & it's honestly paved through some of our worlds most incredible landscape. Towering peaks rise out of the Atlantic Ocean, while quaint fishing settlements lie in-between. As we visited in the winter, we had four hours of daylight to play with which meant we had to be efficient with our time, but as sunrise was at 10:30 each day, we got to lie-in everyday. A photographer's blessing! We roamed Reine, hiked up peaks for sunrise & chased the Northern lights. So stoked to head back in the Summer to experience the midnight sun, a time when daylight lasts for weeks at a time & see how the landscape changes into shades of luscious green...
